"The Secret Gardens Tour continues to be a wonderful resource for individuals who have suffered a brain injury and their families. This New Orleans based fundraiser assists people around the entire state who might need a little extra help with medical needs, transportation, respite care, or education in living with their brain injury or that of a loved one. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of you who work so hard to make this event a reality and those of you who support it.!"

"Caring for my daughter who has a brain injury is a very lonely experience and my old friends don’t understand the extent to which my life has changed. I was elated to discover the upcoming conference for people like me and my daughter, but money is tight with all her medical needs. Fortunately I have been provided travel funds by you to go to Lafayette with my daughter and finally meet other people with whom I can share and learn. Thank you for brightening our day and giving us this event to look forward to."

"I have been caring for my father since a car accident left him with a severe brain injury 8 years ago. I do not have any siblings to share this work with me and my mother is no longer with us. I know he is happier at home than in a nursing home, but I get so tired and can’t afford help. In desperation I call the BIALA helpline and they listened to me cry about my struggles and exhaustion. They were able to help me find a sitter and with money from the Secret Gardens funds, they were able to help me pay for a sitter so I could get some much needed rest and catch up on taking care of myself. Thank you, you saved me."

"My son was riding in the back of a pick-up truck with friends and fell out. He is in rehab now and making progress, but the insurance company said he no longer qualifies for any rehabilitation therapies. The doctor said he needs these to continue to improve and I could not afford to pay for all of them. Assistance from the Secret Gardens allowed him to keep having his therapies until we were able to solve this problem. Thank you for helping and giving me one less thing to worry about. "
