Group :: Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Survivors Support Group of
Southeast Louisiana
The Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Survivors support group
was founded in 1996, and operates on the principle that, in addition
to any other required therapy, persons with brain injuries need
friendly, caring support, and directly from others who have the
same type of injury.
ABI Survivors offers persons with brain injuries the opportunity
to enjoy social settings with others who have faced similar circumstances,
and without any risk of being judged on the basis of their injuries.
Meeting on a monthly basis, you can share personal stories with
others that have similar experiences, learn how others adjusted
to their circumstances, and offer advice from your own adaptation
to brain injury.
A non-profit organization, ABI Survivors meets on the second Thursday
of every month at the regional LRS office at 3500 Canal Street in
New Orleans.
To get more information or to learn about upcoming meetings, call
